2D Growth Scan

Baby Moments offers a 2 dimensional Growth Scan from 26 to 40 weeks of pregnancy for all our clients. We know how important it is for you to know your baby is developing well, and we have the tools and skills to give you all the information you need. During the growth scan we will take measurements of your baby’s head, tummy and leg. From this we can determine an approximate weight of your baby and compare measurements with gestational averages to give you a clear indication of your baby’s progress. We will also measure the amniotic fluid around the baby, Doppler and check the position of your placenta. During your visit we can see the position of your baby’s lie. Our expert sonographers will provide a full explanation of their findings throughout the scan and you will be provided with a printed report and images to take away. Please bring your handheld midwife notes with you for all your scan appointments. Please see our price list or online booking information for the cost of our Growth Scan.If you have any questions, no matter how small, please do not hesitate to contact us, and one of our friendly team will be more than happy to help. For all our scans we recommend the following:
  • Wear loose comfortable clothing

  • Most scans will give the best result with a reasonably full bladder, so drink a glass of water before you arrive for your appointment unless you are advised otherwise by us before your appointment
